Concept
Full-scale website redesign restructuring content to better suit the needs of potential and existing students and their parents. Issues included inconsistent navigation; old and outdated content; broken links and images; and no clear path through the site. The presentation slides outline before/after, changes made and why, methodology, and lessons learned.
My Role
This project required examination of a website from multiple IA perspectives including identification and development of user scenarios; creation of controlled vocabulary that influenced navigation labels and the site index; wireframing of layout and construction of a functioning site.
Skills
User scenario development, controlled vocabulary and site index creation, user testing with card sorting, sitemapping and wireframing in Visio, XHTML, CSS
