So you want to be an accessibility engineer

In this session, you’ll hear from two accessibility engineers who want to help you understand what a day-in-the-life of an accessibility engineer is like. We want you to be informed about what it’s like to work in accessibility, the skills you’ll need and how to find your first accessibility opportunity.

We present two different perspectives: That of a new associate accessibility engineer working for a large consultancy and that of a senior accessibility engineer working in-house for a large corporation. We discuss the tasks we do most often; how a workday is structured; and the types of clients we serve. We walk you through our journeys into the accessibility space and give you perspective on how you can pursue this profession.
